The Stix Icehouse

What an absolute delight this place was. My very first time eating at this location and I had a blast. The play area is perfect for any children and the patio is perfect for the in-house band. I had the "You're my Boy Blue" hamburger; blackened seasoning, blue cheese, and caramelized onions. I will definitely come back. 5-Stars all the way.

Today our family And I were looking for new place to eat a burger. Originally we were going to have In-N-Out. So glad we took a chance and found this place on Yelp. When we first walked in I noticed the sign"please seat yourself " I loved that. We had a waiter by the name Reed. I rated this place 5 . But reed alone can take his own 5 stars. He's great. Did not have to look for him to ask for things we needed he was already on top it. He was very attentive. The vibe in there was chill. I like the deco. Our experience there today was a good one. Especially since the food was super good. The fries were just right, a little crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I had the Bur BQ. Burger and we also tasted some chicken strips. All which were excellent. Definitely going back and hope to have Reed wait on us again.

If you’re looking for a legendary spot to grab a bite, You found it! The Stix Icehouse is an excellent place to eat at… The food was so delicious and was prepared to perfection. I enjoyed the ‘Wake-up burger”. The overall ambience was beautiful and the whole place has wonderful vibes. The staff were super nice, friendly and helpful. Our server was Abigail and she was a big help with excellent service. Thank you to the whole staff and crew here. I will be coming back!

Probably my new favorite spot. This place has so much character and it’s unique. Loved all the Christmas decorations and the Christmas menu. The place is spacious including soccer fields, basketball court, a treehouse. Insider the have a pool table and arcade games. Also this place is very family-friendly and perfect for Sundays out with the family.

Open seating with indoor and outdoor seating. My first time here yesterday Sunday 07/09, just a cool spot in Mckinney where it is kid and dog friendly. I was wondering why there was $1.00 on the wall and the server said every quarter, the owner will count the dollar bills and donate them to the animal shelter. I went in for shareable and the drinks were great and strong.

Absolutely love this spot! My first visit at The Stix Icehouse was complete with excellent service from Jeffery who was the best! He was attentive, even brought us blankets on the patio, and is the reason I’m already planning another time to come back. That and every Wednesday evening, they have musical bingo where you can test your luck at winning a gift card! Thank you Dorothy for handing me a winning card!

The goat yoga advertising on a ticket platform brought me to this place plus I had been wanting a bleu cheese burger. It was ok but I'm realizing I need to start requesting warm buns with my burgers! Cold ones really detract from the enjoyment. Got what was supposed to be a peach cobbler, but I'd swear those were pears in that cobbler not peaches...unless they were white peaches with the texture of pears!! Wish I had a pic of that. The server, Shaunessy, was great! Smiles, full of energy, and attentive. I enjoyed the patio and watching the baby goats.

INADEQUATE PARKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For just the reason of parking. If I wasn’t meeting someone here. I would have found somewhere to go. Had to park across the street in some other businesses parking lot. The kitchen is very slow. Quality of food is at or below average. Catfish ‘n chips you could get at Long John Slivers for half the price. Table service is slow. Peach cobbler is TRASH!!!! Has no flavor without ice cream. Don’t waste your money on that. For the price versus quality of food they could do much better. Even just adding a couple of dollars to item. But hand bread chicken and fish. Fries add just a little more to complete the plate. I left here looking for a place to stop and actually get dinner before heading home. Over all this is a cool concept and could be a nice place to come and just have drinks & hangout.
